Spread across four different levels every single room of the home is connected visually with the central garden and pool area. Designed by Cincopatasalgato the living areas kitchen and dining room showcase an indoor-outdoor interplay thanks to the use of large glass walls.
It was Doherty Design Studio that brought the pops of color bespoke décor and exclusive details that elevated the style quotient of the interior. The result is a contemporary home where there is never a dull moment both indoors and outside.
Functionality and comfort are the two key aspects that defined the transformation with form taking a backseat at times. The wooden deck outside visually becomes a part of the living room and kitchen and adds textural contrast along with a stone fireplace that sits next to the glossy all-white contemporary kitchen. A household that is pragmatic and cozy to its core!
The living area also contains the kitchen and dining room with two bedrooms four bathrooms and a balcony with infinity pool completing the lavish getaway. But this is a residence that is more about its architectural brilliance than just extravagant space!
The front section of the existing home was kept more or less the same with a minor rearrangement of spaces and transformation of the original living area and kitchen into additional bedrooms and guest areas. Striking imaginative and eco-conscious in its own right this is an extension that is all about a smart marriage of form and function.
The extensive use of glass doors for the new addition means that the parents can always keep an eye on the kids from almost every room in the house and even when they are out on the deck.
There is something innately beautiful about churches that have been transformed to serve a different purpose in the ever-changing world. While we have seen some being altered into breathtaking bookstores and libraries most often old churches find a new lease on life as unique and dramatic contemporary homes.
