Yet every part of the home is still stylishly contemporary in its aura and the bedrooms and private quarters offer a more snug and comfy appeal when compared to the living zones. The Scandinavian-style farmhouse setting is all about living life at its unabated best!
The new interior features trademark gables and sweeping arches that give the interior a more spacious appeal and usher in a classic architectural allure. Along with the gables large windows make their presence felt as they offer better views of the scenic landscape around the cottage.
The pavilion-style design of the living area gives the interior a breezy and cheerful appeal and creates flowing social zones and party areas that bring together friends and family. It is the lower levels that contain the living space kitchen and dining room while the upper zones house the bedrooms and private areas.
The lower level of the house contains the double-height living area along with a kitchen and dining space that showcases vibrant yellow and orange accents. The top floor houses five bedrooms with each having their own color scheme along with bathrooms and family areas.
The lakeside cottage was built more than a decade and a half ago and while its owner enjoyed several memorable summers at the cottage it was time for a fresh upgrade. It was from Gilbert+Burke who revamped the interior and altered both the structural plans of the house and the landscaping around it to give it a new lease on life.
